Third Ministerial Conference - Lisbon 1998
The Third Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe took place in Lisbon/Portugal in June 1998. The General Declaration and the two Resolutions adopted at this conference put special emphasis on socio-economic aspects of sustainable forest management - focussing on the relationship and interaction between forest and society - and they confirm important outcomes of the Helsinki follow-up.
